Summer Vacations Week 1

I just came back from my Family Vacations at Disney World! We spent a week at the magical world and it was great! My kids had a great time with their cousins and both grandmas.

The Beauty and the Beast Castle is beautiful!! And we had the opportunity to eat lunch there!! It was a great experience!

We could not leave without meeting Anna & Elsa!

A couple of weeks ago I made a summer wish list and now I can check out wish #1 (enjoy my vacations without thinking about school) ;)

Now I need to keep checking out items form my list!

Last day of school!

Friday was my last day of school and it was FUN!!

I promised my kids pancakes for the last day of school. They didn't  forget about my promise, so here you have it! 

We watched Frozen and had breakfast with delicious pancakes!! ;)

I always give my students a surprise on the last day. This year I made baggies with bubbles, Popsicles, crayons & markers.

The best part of the surprise was the BUBBLES!!!

My 9th year of teaching is officially over, now I need to get ready to have fun with my wonderful family!

Memory Books

We have been working with our Memory Books the last couple of days. This year, I wanted to add something different and show my students how much progress they made during the year!

I have been planning this activity since the beginning of the year.  I asked my students to draw a picture of themselves the very first day of school and I saved it. 

Today I asked them to draw a picture of them on their last day of school in first grade. When they were done with their picture, I showed them their very first picture they drew the first day of school. They were in shock of their progress... and me too!!

We had a great year together!!! Now we are ready to enjoy the sun and have more fun!

Ready for my last week!

Last week of school is already here!

I have planned a fun week ahead! I just have two full days as the rest three days will be half days! 

My plan is to have as much fun as I can with my almost second graders this last week! Here are some pics of the activities we are going to be doing.

I am going to let them write about their accomplishments in first grade!

We also going to spend a couple of days writing about our excited year together!

 I think that these two activities plus all the activities the school have, will make a great closure for our school year!
