Bilingual Back-to-School Blog Hop

A wonderful group of ladies decided to initiate a blog hop to help out with the start of the school year, specifically for our bilingual classrooms.

This summer I have learned a lot about Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and how it can impact your classroom environment. My freebie is an activity about feelings that will help you get to know your kiddos.

They are going to have fun creating a craft that will help them express their emotions without feeling any type of pressure or judgment.

You can use this activity to have an idea of how your kiddos feel in your classroom the first day school and how you can be there to support them. You also can use it as a center during the school year to keep checking on your students throughout the year.

You can find this activity {HERE}

Click image below to check out the next blogger on the hop!  Have a great start of the school year!

Follow me on TPT or my Facebook page for more ideas and activities.

Have fun!

100 Days of School!

We are getting ready to celebrate our 100 days of school!

This time of the year is one of my favorite ones! We can celebrate and integrate Math, Social Studies, Language Arts and more!!!

We start the celebration sending a special homework home! The students need to create a poster using a 100 items. I love to see all their creations!

For Social Studies & Language Arts, the students write about the things they would like to do when they are a 100 years old.

For Math we make hats, necklaces, paint and more! All the activities are integrating the number 100. It so much fun!

You can find all these activities here--->{HERE

Have fun!

Martin Luther King

Today we woke up to a really cold morning and ice, so school was cancelled.

I am happy, because it gave me time to write on my blog and share with you some ideas.

Here are some of the activities we completed the last couple of days.

We have read different books in English & Spanish, completed a timeline of his life, equality activities and of course a CUTE craftivity!

Here are some pictures of our fun activities and books we read!

As an introduction we described how eggs can look different on the outside but look the same in the inside. It was great to captured my little ones attention!

After we read different stories, my students put MLK timeline in order and wrote some facts about him.

Friendship has no color because....
Frienship has no color because we all play together!

They wrote about their dreams and created this cute craftivity of Dr. King!

My dream is become president and treat everybody equally!

And of course to the wall they went!

You can find these activities here!

I received a great surprise when one of ,my friends from Puerto Rico sent me this picture of her lesson using one my my units! I loved it! Thank you so much for sharing Mrs. Quiñones!

Have a great weekend!
