It's not a secret how much I LOVE pictures and frames! After several days searching for the perfect frame for the 1st day of school, I decided to make my own! It turned out super cute, and to my husband's delight, I only spent less than $5!
I bought 4
stretcher strips at Hobby Lobby. They have different lengths, so you can make your frame the size you want. I wanted mine small to make it easy for my Kindergartners to handle. I used 11" for the top and the bottom & 14" for the sides!
After I put the four pieces together, I painted them using acrylic paint I had at home.
I let the frame dry for a couple of minutes. It didn't take long. Meanwhile I laminated and cut the letters for the frame.
When I was done cutting the letters, my frame was dry, and I just needed to paste the letter to the frame. (I used hot glue.)
It took me about an hour to make this frame and it's super cute! Now I can check off one thing from my Back-to-School list!
If you follow my
TPT store, these letters are this month freebie! I included PK-2. I didn't want to leave any of my Early Childhood friends out!
Have fun making your own frame and post pics of your creations!
Have fun!
