Texas

The last couple of day my students learned all about Texas. It's one of my favorite units. As you know, I love to make hands-on activities and this unit is not an exception.

Here are some pictures of my students work.

My students made the state flower using their fingerprints and purple paint!

 They made the state flag using red, white and blue tissue paper.

This is my favorite activity from this unit.. The cowboys & cowgirls! 

They decorated the cowboys clothing using the Texas symbols!

Getting ready...

My Spring break is over, but I had a great time with my family! Now I am getting ready for a wonderful week at school.

A Frozen Celebration!

My baby girl is 2 years old!!! We celebrated her birthday "Frozen" style! I started planning her birthday a month ago. I searched for ideas on Pintetest, blogs, etc and finally her birthday party was a sucess!!!

It was such a fun day!!! My little princess, my boy and their friends had a blast!!!

Body Systems

For our body system unit my students learned about the lungs, heart, bones and muscles. Here are some pictures of all the fun!

For the bones we used Q-Tips to create a skeleton and identify the main bones.

They made this cute graphic organizer to write characteristics about the different systems we learned about.

By the end of the week they were expert and each group work and made a "Buddy Body" from my Body System Unit. They were able to identify the main systems and review the function of each of them.

First week back and a FREEBIE!

My first week of school in 2014 was great! 

We started the year reviewing rules and expectations. It was a perfect introduction for our goals and resolutions unit!

My students wrote the best resolutions ever!! Here are some of them:
