A Special Reward!

It's a BIG challenge to make my son eat his food! He only wants to eat pancakes, Pop-Tarts, cheese quesadillas and spaghetti! This summer my goal was to make him eat a whole plate of healthy food!!!

I put my teacher skills in practice and designed a reward chart for him.

Every time he gets to eat all his food, he will get a Mickey Mouse and take out any villains from the chart. He needs to reach a different goal every month to get a surprise.

This month was a success! He reached his goal and he received a big surprise!!!

I was so happy with my son, that I started to think how I am going to reward my students this school year. I already have a treasure box, but I wanted to do something different. I want to give them something more personal. So, I decided to make bracelets with special messages to praise them.

I think they are going to like it. I am praising them and they can take a special message home with them. :)
You can find these cute bracelets at my store in Spanish or English!

Have a great week!

SWEET Decorations!

This year my school theme is "Learning is Sweet". When I heard that, the first thing that came to my mind was LOLLIPOPS! So, I decided to write my students names on BIG lollipops and decorate my door at the same time! Here is how they came out! I still need to add my kiddos names, but I still need to wait on that! ;)
These lollipops were very easy to make! Here are the materials and steps:
Materials:
- foam
- decorative napkins
- clear plastic wrap
- sticks
- glue sticks
- scissors
- ribbon
First cover the foam with the napkin.

When the foam is cover, add the stick, and wrap it with the clear plastic.

Finally, add the ribbon and there you have  your cute and easy to make lollipops!

Have a great week!

A very crafty and fun day!

Today I spent the whole day playing with my kids! The weather was perfect for some bubble fun in the morning!
After blowing some bubbles, we started our crafty project! My son loves cars so I found a cute idea on Pinterest to make a race car out of  a paper towel tube.

I had so much fun with this project. I think II am going to do this with my students for our transportation unit!

Here are the materials and steps to make this cute car.
Materials:
- tube roll
- glue stick
- scissors
- markers
- crayons

First color the template using markers or crayons.
Then cut your template.
Third you are going to paste the rectangle part around the tube and let it dry.

While it's drying, you need to paste a piece of carton on the back of the tires. The carton will help the car stand easily. (I used a piece of a cereal box). When all the parts are dry, you are going to paste the tires to the tube.

And there you have it! Your race car! You can cut the oval on the top and make a driver! My son loves Buzz so he decided to let him drive his car! ;)
You can find the car template here.

Have a great week!

My new seats and my pretty flowers!

I've been very inspired these past days! I reorganized my house, made my classroom decorations, made new seats for my kids and fixed my front yard!
And I am not done. I still have some more projects in mind!
I want to share with you a pic of one of my new seats!
It was easy to make  (of course everything is easy when you have your mom helping you). Here are the steps:
You are going to need the following materials:
-electric stapler
-pillow
-large crate
-piece of wood ( you need to measure from outside edge of your create to the other side to know the size you need)
- fabric
First you need to staple the pillow to the wood. This will make your cushion.

Second you need to cover the cushion. To do this, you need to staple the fabric covering the cushion.

Finally you are going to press your cushion against the crate. If you would like to use the crate for storage, you can add a strip to your cushion. The strip will help you lift the cushion easily!

Before I leave, I would like to share the pic of my flowers!
I hope you have a nice week!

I am working on my classroom decorations already! I still have one month of vacation left, but when I get inspired nothing can stop me (except my kids and husband) LOL!
Here is a picture of what I am working on right now!

A happy 4th of July.. and a SALE!

I hope you had a fantastic holiday! I had a great time with my family! We actually celebrated a little bit early this year! The local park had a great celebration last weekend and it was so much fun! My kids had a great time and even my baby girl enjoyed the fireworks! I though it would be a little bit scary or too loud for her, but I was wrong!

Here are some pictures of the fun!

My son LOVES trains, so this ride was a SUCCESS!

The fireworks show was great! My son was so excited that he started yelling "Happy Birthday USA and Uncle Sam"  He was very funny! :)

And here is a picture of us! Maybe you can't see our faces but I can tell you that we are smiling! :)

To add more happiness to this great week, I am throwing a sale! Visit my TPT or TN shop and receive a 20% discount on all of my products!

Have a great weekend!
